MONTE is proud to publish its first children’s book, ‘Wings of Change: Tom the Firefighter’
For as long as she can remember, Sophie has wanted to be like her father: a firefighter, saving the lives of people and animals all over Australia. However, she soon makes a discovery that threatens this dream. Sophie is devastated, but she is determined to take matters into her own hands.
Tom has always been proud of being a firefighter. That all changes when he sees the disappointment in his daughter’s eyes when she finds out about his contribution to climate change.
Fortunately, Tom has a plan…
Every year, wildfires account for up to 10% of global CO2 emissions. Firefighting planes are therefore essential for preventing and extinguishing wildfires, thereby preventing CO2 emissions and helping to protect the environment.
With this book, we hope to help educate the younger generation on important issues relating to climate change, such as carbon dioxide emissions, the danger and consequences of wildfires, and the impact of aviation on the planet.
We also wanted to show them that a different future is possible: changes are being made and need to continue to be made for the planet to survive. They are not responsible for climate change, but they can help reverse it.
For every book sold, MONTE will plant two trees in forests all around the world.
