MONTE forms joint venture with Xcalibur Airborne Geophysics Group

MONTE is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new joint venture with Xcalibur Airborne Geophysics Group (“XAG”). Xcalibur Airborne Geophysics Group is a worldwide leading services provider, offering a diverse range of geophysical survey services such as fixed- and rotary-wing airborne Gradient Magnetic and Radiometric, Electromagnetics & Gravity Surveys. Xcalibur Airborne Geophysics operates a fleet of fixed and rotary wing aircraft including Air Tractors AT502 & AT504, Pacific Aerospace PAC-750s, Piper Cheyenne and Piper Navajo, and Eurocopter AS350s, and will soon be adding Cessna Grand Caravans to this fleet. These aircraft serve a diverse client base which includes government departments, Oil&Gas companies and mining companies.

The new joint venture, Xcalibur Aviation Company (‘XAC’), will focus on growing the existing XAG business, leveraging Xcalibur’s existing technical and operational expertise in this field and MONTE’S aircraft lease management services and financing expertise. XAC will concentrate on the management and specialized financing of XAG’s fleet, to support XAG in offering leading edge geophysical services to its clients which provide long-term, contracted cashflows with a high degree of certainty and visibility.
