MONTE finalise lease agreement with Tara Air for one Viking DHC-6-400 Twin Otter aircraft

MONTE has successfully agreed the lease of one Viking DHC-6-400 aircraft with Tara Air, Nepal. MONTE acquired the 2012-vintage DHC-6-400 from Air Seychelles. The aircraft is the lessor’s eighth Twin Otter on long term lease in Asia.

The latest addition to Tara Air’s fleet of short-take-off-and-landing aircraft will enable the airline to serve remote airports in mountainous Nepal. It will also help facilitate Nepal’s target of two million tourists in the year 2020, the airline said.

Tara Air operates two Dash 6-400s, two Dash 6-300s and two Dornier 228s, according to Airfinance Journal’s Fleet Tracker.
