Visit to Chilimani Primary School, Malawi

Earlier this year, MONTE helped to fund the addition of a new school block at the Chilimani Primary School in Nkhotahota, Malawi. The work was completed in September 2018, ready for the new school year to start. Hannah from our London Office flew to Malawi to check out the new school building and to learn more about the amazing work that the Tongole Foundation are doing.

The Tongole Foundation is a charity working to support local communities surrounding the Nkhotkota Wildlife Reserve. They focus on areas of education and conservation, in an effort to improve the standards of living for as many people as possible. Tongole work in Partnership with four primary schools and have helped to provide over 2,000 primary school students with learning materials, including pencils, crayons, note books as well as basic sports equipment. The Foundation have also started a Chicken Project, been involved in Community Gardens and work closely with African Parks to help create awareness of the benefits of conservation and preservation of the environment and wildlife.
