Financing the transition of the regional aviation industry to net zero carbon emissions

MONTE is an aircraft lessor founded with the sole ambition of supporting the aviation industry’s transition to net zero carbon emissions.

Currently 3% of global CO2 emissions annually are attributed to aviation. This is equivalent to approximately one billion metric tonnes of CO2. The aviation industry therefore has a significant and pivotal role to play in reducing emissions globally.

MONTE aims to facilitate this transition by providing financing and leasing solutions for zero and low emission technology to regional aircraft operators. The regional turboprop aircraft that MONTE focuses on will be the first aircraft in the aviation industry to operate with zero emission technology due to the size of the aircraft and the recent advancements in technology.

Drawing on over 3 decades of experience in aircraft leasing under the leadership of Raymond Eyre, former Global Head of Leasing at Bank of America, MONTE’s team has successfully financed transactions totaling over US$20 billion.

Our Strategy

MONTE has an existing portfolio of regional turboprop aircraft, which are leased to global operators. As we are fully committed with the energy transition, MONTE will decarbonize the turboprop market by financing aircraft retrofit and clean sheet designs. Additionally, to ensure a proper operation of lessees, MONTE will finance the necessary infrastructure for decarbonized aircraft.
